Three exhibition venues will display the masterpieces of Il Perugino and other great Renaissance masters: Pintoricchio, Cosimo Rosselli, Ghirlandaio and their Florentine and Umbrian colleagues. The Exhibition “ At his Baptism they named him Pietro. Il Perugino in Città della Pieve” is curated by Vittoria Garibaldi, Francesco Federico Mancini, Nicoletta Baldini, in collaboration with Antonio Natali, and is hosted in three different venues: Palazzo Della Corgna, the Museo Civico Diocesano di Santa Maria dei Servi and the Oratorio di Santa Maria dei Bianchi.
It includes some thirty paintings that exemplify this fundamental time in art history via masterpieces borrowed from some of the most famous Italian and European museums: from the Pinacoteca Vaticana to the Gallerie degli Uffizi, and from the Kunsthistorisches Museum of Vienna to the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria in Perugia.
The show inaugurates on Sunday, July 2, and will be open daily from 10am to 7pm. Your ticket will gain you access to all three venues.
