The European Equestrian Endurance Championship runs over 160km in the countryside surrounding Castiglione del Lago. The core of the event is the grounds of the former Eleuteri airport, from which the riders and their steed depart and return.
Once again, Lake Trasimeno and it’s countryside is the setting for a fascinating and complex international event. The route was designed to underscore the natural beauty that graces Lake Trasimeno and goes over the gently rolling hills, on trails through woods and through historical villages.
